At the Nigerian Customs Service Headquarters, Abuja, today, I joined Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, the First Lady of Nigeria and National Chairman of the Renewed Hope Initiative, at the formal presentation of mobile clinics to the National Youth Service Corps and the Taraba State Government under the Renewed Hope Initiative Health Support Programme (Love on Wheels).

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Her Excellency fulfilled her pledge made to the National Youth Service Corps during the commissioning of the Nigerian Digital Museum in Abuja, and to the Taraba State Government during her official visit to the State. She presented three mobile clinic units—two to the National Youth Service Corps and one to the Taraba State Government. Her Excellency described the initiative as “care in action, a motion to strengthen health care delivery beyond hospital walls, improve access, shorten response times, and support flexible services, especially in emergencies and underserved areas through professional health care givers.”

In their respective remarks, the Governor of Taraba State, His Excellency Agbu Kefas, the Honorable Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Iziaq Adekunle Salako, and the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General Oluseye Nafiu, commended the First Lady for her generosity and support in the health sector. They praised the Renewed Hope initiative’s commitment to ensuring all Nigerians have access to quality health services whenever needed, without facing financial hardship.
