Cervical cancer is largely preventable. This week reminds us to prioritize cervical health through awareness, screenings, and prevention.

The HPV vaccine combined with regular screening remains the most effective defense, preventing over 70% of diagnoses. Early detection saves lives by identifying precancerous changes, allowing timely intervention.

I strongly encourage parents to vaccinate their daughters against HPV. We must break the silence and stigma surrounding this disease and educate our mothers, sisters, and daughters about prevention.

Let us use this week to dispel myths and encourage action. When we prioritize health education together, we create a future where no woman dies from cervical cancer.

Stay informed. Get screened. Save lives.
