In thanking God for the New Year and committing the year into His hands while asking for His continued guidance, my family, on January 1st, 2026, together with Imo State stakeholders and well-wishers, attended a Thanksgiving Mass at our home parish, St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Ozuh-Omuma, Oru East Local Government Area. Most Rev. Dr. Augustine Ukwuoma, the Catholic Bishop of Orlu Diocese, in his homily, while thanking God for the gift of the New Year, emphasized the need to ask for wisdom and discernment just as Solomon did in the Bible. Wisdom and discernment will help us know the right things to do and the wrong things to avoid this year. He also called for a collaborative spirit in our different endeavors for the good of the people. We welcome the New Year in good spirit and ask God for His guidance and direction in all our affairs. As we embark on this new journey of 2026, may God's grace, mercy, and abundant blessings rest upon every household in Imo State. May this year bring us peace, prosperity, good health, and divine favor in all our pursuits and endeavors.
