On Tuesday, June 8, 2021, I joined other First Ladies, in a meeting, under the auspices of Southern Governors' Wives Forum (SGWF) at the Edo State Governor's Lodge, Abuja.

The purpose of the meeting was, among others, to highlight the projects we shall be undertaking as a body. These projects will be targeted at the women and children in the various Southern States of the country, to complement the efforts of our husbands, the Executive Governors.

Also, the election of new Executives of the Association, who would be saddled with the responsibility of piloting the affairs of the body for another tenure, was held.

At the end of the exercise, the First Lady, Osun State, Her Excellency, Mrs. Kafayat Oyetola was unanimously elected as the Chairperson, Southern Governors' Wives Forum (SGWF). She replaces the First Lady, Edo State, Mrs. Betsy Obaseki, whose tenure ended yesterday.

As a Team, we promise to build on the legacies of our predecessors.
