I represented Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, at the launch of the Economic Empowerment Programme for Persons with Disabilities through the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) in commemoration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3, 2025, in Owerri, Imo State. The programme, launched simultaneously across the 36 states of the Federation, the Federal Capital Territory, and the Defence and Police Officers' Wives Association (DEPOWA), provided business recapitalization grants of two hundred thousand naira (N200,000) each to two hundred and fifty (250) persons with disabilities in the state. These grants were designed to enable small business owners to recapitalize their existing businesses and strengthen their means of livelihood. In her address, Her Excellency recounted that the Social Investment Programmes have provided financial and material support to victims of floods, communal clashes, and disasters, as well as to the elderly, widows, and orphans of our fallen heroes. She however, encouraged the beneficiaries to make good use of this opportunity and allow it to be a seed that grows into something greater; a business that sustains them and their families. I appreciate Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, who has demonstrated that a truly inclusive society is built when we stand together, creating opportunities that empower everyone to contribute their unique gifts to our collective progress.
