Her Excellency Barr. Chioma Uzodimma, First Lady of Imo State and Founder of the GoodHope Women Flourish Initiative (@ghwfi_official) in collaboration with @UNFPA, convened an inspiring Women’s Summit that brought together wives of traditional rulers, women leaders, community women groups, survivors and advocates on the elimination of FGM. The event carried the courage of survivors, and commitment from every groups present, sharing a vow to protect every young girl and women across the State. The Imo State Action Plan to End FGM was reaffirmed with renewed resolve. The message echoed through every voice: FGM is not culture; it is violence. And united, we will end it.
