At the State Government House, the Renewed Hope Initiative reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that no one is left behind; especially those facing economic vulnerabilities, through the Social Investment Programme Food Outreach Scheme.
The programme, held on November 19, 2025 in Owerri, the Imo State capital, featured the distribution of food items and cash gifts to vulnerable groups, including widows, persons living with disabilities, the elderly, orphans, and other underserved populations across our dear State. This gesture is not charity in a condescending sense, but an act of solidarity aimed at restoring hope and reaffirming our shared humanity.
I express my sincere appreciation to Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, the First Lady of Nigeria and National Chairman of the Renewed Hope Initiative, for her continued advocacy for women, children, and vulnerable groups. To Her Excellency Hajiya Nana Shettima, I am deeply grateful for her dedication to ensuring that this initiative reaches every corner of our Nation.
To my dear husband, His Excellency, Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodimma, Executive Governor of Imo State, thank you for your support for these humanitarian initiatives and for your administration’s commitment to the welfare of all Imo people. I also extend my gratitude to our partners and donors for demonstrating that true development is indeed a collective effort. Together, we will continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most.
