Cervical cancer elimination is within reach if we act now, together. It is one of the most preventable and treatable cancers when detected early, yet it remains a leading cause of cancer deaths among women. As we observe the 2025 Cervical Cancer Elimination Day of Action with the theme "Act Now: Eliminate Cervical Cancer," I urge every woman to prioritize cervical cancer screening. Do not wait for symptoms to appear. Through HPV vaccination, regular screening, and timely treatment, we can prevent this disease entirely. The Imo State Government, through ImoCare under the Imo State Health Insurance Agency, has provided cancer care packages for enrollees, making screening more accessible than ever before. Get screened today. Know your status. Early detection saves lives. Cervical cancer elimination is not just possible; it is achievable. Let us make it our reality. Together, we shall eliminate cervical cancer in Nigeria.
