Yesterday, I joined the FGGC Owerri Old Girls’ Association as a Special Guest of Honour at their Global Reunion Velvet Masterclass held at the AIB Event Centre, Abuja.

The Reunion, a biennial convergence of alumnae from across the world; spanning graduating sets from 1978 to 2022; was themed “Bound by Unity, Built for Impact.” It celebrated decades of excellence, shared memories, and collective impact.

In my opening address, I highlighted the essence of the occasion: to reminisce on cherished memories and to reconnect with the power that comes from unity, shared values, and a legacy of excellence that calls for continuous growth and impact.

My sincere gratitude goes to the FGGC Owerri Old Girls’ Association for the honour of joining this remarkable celebration of excellence, sisterhood, and purpose. Thank you for modelling what true sisterhood embodies; enduring, purposeful, and impactful, and for creating a space where women can celebrate their achievements while inspiring one another to reach even greater heights.
