In showing gratitude, we acknowledge the blessings and good things in our lives and express appreciation for the impact they have made. This formed the message today as my husband and I attended the Holy Eucharistic Celebration at the Imo State Government House Chapel. Reflecting on the readings drawn from 2 Kings 5:14–17 and Luke 17:11–19, the accounts of Naaman's healing and the Samaritan leper's return remind us that while many receive God's blessings, only a few pause to return and give thanks. As we go forward, may we remember that gratitude fosters a sense of contentment, strengthens relationships, and attracts more positivity into our lives. Too often, we dwell on our struggles, challenges, and shortcomings while overlooking the abundance we already possess. Let us honour God by expressing gratitude and extending support and kindness to one another in all circumstances.
