Breast cancer remains one of the leading health challenges worldwide, but early detection saves lives. This month, we commit to raising awareness about breast cancer prevention and early detection. There are lifestyle changes we must embrace. Stop delaying routine screenings, avoid excessive alcohol consumption, and do not ignore unusual breast changes. These behaviors can significantly impact your health and well-being. Instead, prioritize your breast health by going for monthly self-examinations and scheduling regular mammograms, especially after age 40. Maintain a healthy weight, exercise regularly, and eat a balanced diet rich in fruits and vegetables. Know your family history and seek immediate medical attention for any breast abnormalities. Early detection is your greatest defense. If you notice lumps, changes in breast size or shape, skin dimpling, nipple discharge, or persistent pain, consult your doctor immediately. Let us break the silence, spread awareness, and encourage the women in our lives to prioritize their breast health. Together, we can save lives.
