The Women Economic Empowerment Programme of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), in partnership with the Tony Elumelu Foundation, was launched today at the Imo State Government House to provide small business recapitalization grants to 500 women. I had the honour of representing the esteemed First Lady of Nigeria and National Chairman of the Renewed Hope Initiative, Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, at the event. This initiative further strengthens and supports the entrepreneurial spirit of our women traders and small-scale business owners with grants of ₦50,000 each, alongside an additional ₦50,000 support from the Imo State Government through my husband, His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, CON. I deeply appreciate the First Lady and National Chairman of RHI, H.E. Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, the Tony Elumelu Foundation, and the Imo State Government for recognizing the great need for this support. When you empower a woman, she provides for her household, uplifts her community, and contributes to the progress of the Nation.
