Themed "New Voices and New Approaches for Accelerating an Inclusive Society," the Policy Innovation Centre Gender and Inclusion Summit 2025 (GS-25) convened policymakers and champions of inclusion from September 3rd to 4th, 2025, with various sessions and discussions. I participated in the plenary session "From Policy to Practice: First Ladies as Catalysts for Norm Change and Economic Empowerment," alongside the First Ladies of Cross River, H.E. Mrs. Eyoanwan Bassey Otu; Ogun, H.E. Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun; and the Coordinator of the Office of the First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, Mrs. Helen Eno Obareki. The session was moderated by Omowunmi Ayoka Gbamis, Program Officer, NGSF.
In my goodwill speech, I presented inclusivity initiatives in Imo State and the work I lead through the Goodhope Women Flourish Initiative - GHWFI, including our shared cause with First Ladies Against Cancer. Special thanks to the First Lady of Nigeria, Her Excellency Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, CON, who on behalf of the Renewed Hope Initiative, has donated ₦1 billion to the National Cancer Fund to fight the scourge of cervical cancer in Nigeria. I called for the summit to amplify new voices and forge approaches that unlock every individual's potential.
