True legacy is not about how long we live, but the impact we leave behind. That is the kind of legacy Ma Florence Ugwu, the late mother of the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Hon. Nkechinyere Ugwu UNJP, left behind. Yesterday, I visited Hon. Nkechinyere Ugwu to offer my condolences on the passing of her dear mother, who lived to the age of 81. I was joined by the Wife of the Chief of Staff, Engr. Lady Oby Anyaehie, the Wife of the Majority Leader of the Imo State House of Assembly, Mrs. Deborah Kanayo, and the S.A to the Governor on Women Affairs, Hon. (Mrs.) Chinyere Emeziem.

May God grant Mama eternal rest, comfort the family, and give them strength to carry on her legacy.
