The message of hospitality, especially to strangers, was highlighted in today's Mass as I worshipped with my husband, His Excellency Distinguished Senator (Dr.) Hope Uzodimma, CON, at the Government House Chapel. The homily drew from the first reading (Genesis 18:1-8), chronicling Abraham's exemplary reception of his angelic visitors. This passage, paired with our Lord's instruction to Martha in the Gospel reading (Luke 10:38-42), illuminated the importance of extending genuine welcome to all.
These teachings exhort us to place love and kindness at the forefront of our interactions, especially with strangers. The Word challenges us to embrace authentic charity daily. As we enter this new week, we are called to anchor ourselves in these timeless principles, allowing them to shape our character and guide our conduct. #Sunday
