In these moments of grief, I joined my sister First Ladies yesterday; along with the wife of the Honourable Minister of State for Defence, H.E. Hajiya Aisha Bello Matawalle and the former First Lady of Kogi State, H.E. Mrs. Rashida Yahaya Bello, on a condolence visit to the former First Lady of Nigeria, H.E. Dr. Aisha Muhammadu Buhari, following the passing of her husband, the late President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, who was laid to rest a few days ago.
President Buhari’s legacy of integrity, selfless service, and dedication to Nigeria’s progress will forever remain in our hearts. As we continue to mourn this great loss to our Nation, we stand united in our resolve to honour his memory by committing ourselves to the ongoing work of building a stronger, more prosperous Nigeria.
May his soul rest in perfect peace, and may God Almighty grant his family, the people of Daura, and all Nigerians the strength to bear this irreplaceable loss.
