The Education Summit, convened by the Ladies of the Knights of St. Mulumba Nigeria, Owerri Metropolitan Council, was held at St. Mulumba Catholic Church, Owerri, on June 18, 2025, to advance education and empowerment in Imo State. The summit focused on addressing key issues in education, celebrating contributions to enhanced educational opportunities, and fostering progress across our state. I was represented by Mrs. Ijeoma Nduka, wife of the Managing Director of the Anambra-Imo River Basin Development Authority, who was accompanied by Mrs. Chioma Nwosu, Vice Chairman of Ehime Mbano Local Government Area. In my address, I commended the Ladies of St. Mulumba for their impactful initiatives, particularly their scholarship program supporting tertiary and seminary students in Imo State. This effort sows seeds for the progress of our state and nation. Equally inspiring is their empowerment program for indigent women, both Catholics and non-Catholics, which reflects the inclusive spirit and compassion of Christian values. This initiative ensures that every deserving woman is equipped to enhance her circumstances and contribute meaningfully to society. Such summits serve as vital forums for exchanging insights, forging strategic partnerships, and constructing pathways that translate aspirations into tangible achievements, reinforcing our shared dedication to a prosperous future for Imo State.
