Africa in Motion is an initiative by the Gates Foundation's Goalkeepers program that celebrates African brilliance and showcases changemakers shaping the future through health technology, education, storytelling, and infrastructure development. I attended this inspiring event on June 4, 2025, in Lagos, themed "The Future of Progress: Africa in Motion." The gathering brought together global leaders, including Bill Gates, and innovators to spotlight progress and explore African-led innovations and locally-driven solutions creating lasting impact across the continent and beyond.

The curated program featured panel discussions, compelling storytelling, and musical performances that celebrated African innovation and context-rooted solutions. I was particularly inspired by the focus on changemakers advancing equity, health, and opportunity while fostering African-led innovation and trust-based collaborations for a thriving future.

The event reinforced how innovative Africans truly are and emphasized that meaningful change starts with us. Now is the time to harness this potential and drive transformative progress from within our continent. I am deeply inspired to do more and contribute to this movement of African-led solutions that will shape our collective future.
