Children are not just our future; they are our greatest gift, each with the power to make a difference in the world. To celebrate Children’s Day on May 27th, 2025, the Imo State Government, through my office, hosted a special event at the Government House Owerri. Similar celebrations also took place across all 27 Local Government Areas of the State. The event brought together children from five orphanage homes, as well as pupils from ten primary and secondary schools. We marked this year’s theme, "Stand Up, Speak Up: Building a Bullying-Free Generation." In my message, I encouraged the children to keep being kind, respectful to parents and teachers, helpful to others, and always cheerful; creating a better world where every child feels important and loved.
The celebration featured spelling competitions, dance performances, fun games, bouncing castles, and other entertaining activities. Every child received a gift package, leaving with joy and wonderful memories. This reaffirms our commitment to the welfare, protection, and development of every child in Imo State, as we continue to invest in their bright future and potential.
Happy Children's Day! 🌟✨💚 #ChildrenDay #FutureLeaders #EveryChildMatters
