I had the joy and fulfillment of spending quality time with my fellow mothers under the auspices of the Catholic Women Organization (C.W.O) at the Maria Assumpta Catholic Cathedral, Owerri.
It was in commemoration of this year's Mother's Day celebration which was marked with a lot of activities.
During my address at the church service which was officiated by His Grace, Archbishop Anthony J. V. Obinna, I emphasized on the role of mothers in shaping the society, starting with their place in the family, which is the basic social unit of every society.
Therefore, I admonished the audience on responsible motherhood, the need to mould the right characters and imbibing the necessary virtues for the betterment of humanity, citing Our Lady, the Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ – the Blessed Virgin Mary; as the model to all mothers and a consummate symbol of love.
Highlights of the event were the unveiling and decoration of the statue of our Blessed Mother Virgin Mary in the company of my beloved husband, Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodimma.
I also had the privilege of Commissioning the Completed C.W.O Hall located within the church premises.
I pray that God bless all good mothers so that they can be alive and healthy to reap the fruits of their toils. Amen.
I wish us all a blessed week.
