I received a delegation of medical students from the Nigerian Medical Students' Association (NiMSA) during a courtesy visit to my office.
The delegation, led by Dr. Olumba Franklin Wellington, commended the state government for its significant advancements in healthcare infrastructure and initiatives, as well as my foundation, the GoodHope Women Flourish Initiative, for its commitment to the welfare and well-being of vulnerable populations, exemplified by our recent free medical outreach. Other speakers, including Comr. Uwakwe Williams Ugochukwu, NiMSA Supervisory Council Chairman; Comr. Chris Prosper, President of the Imo State University Medical Students Association (IMSUMSA); Comr. Onyechere Victory Okechukwu, NiMSA Health Week LOC Chairman; and Comr. Eddie Nkwoh Oluchi, NiMSA Health Week LOC Vice Chairman, highlighted the upcoming NiMSA Health Week 2025, noting it as the first to be hosted in Imo State since NiMSA’s inception, and expressed their enthusiasm for a successful event.
In my remarks, I expressed gratitude for their visit and assured them of my support and commitment to inclusive youth engagement in the activities of my office. I look forward to collaborating with NiMSA to further advance healthcare and youth development initiatives.
