I felicitate with my fellow mothers on today's Mother's Day celebration.

In today's society, as always, mothers play very critical and significant roles in shaping the society, starting with their place in the family which is the basic social unit.

I celebrate also our men who have had to stay on the onerous task of doubling as both fathers and mothers to their various homes.

Motherhood confers on us, a very serious responsibility and divine assignment to mould the best characters from the homes. Therefore, I admonish our mothers to continue to do more for us by churning out the right characters and imbibing the necessary virtues for the betterment of the society.

I pray for all good mothers today that their joy will be full and may their sacrifices never go unrewarded. Amen.
