We held our maiden Imo Women's Prayer Summit (IWPS), yesterday, April 17, 2021, at the Ahiajoku Convention Center, Owerri.
I believe strongly that as people, we can't make the desired progress without God's intervention and guidance, hence, the essence of the prayer feast. It was a gathering of God's children, in humility, with a common purpose.
In the words of T. D. Jakes, "In a time when women carry more influence than any other generation, the power of prayer has never been more important to remind us that we do not have to bear our crosses alone. We need prayer to stand guard over our hearts and minds and over the hearts and minds of our families".
As women, we gathered under one umbrella to seek God's face and ask His intervention in all that ail us a people, State and government. It was also a time to bare our hearts of gratitude to God Almighty for bringing us thus far.
I am confident that God will answer our prayers as we are assured of His supernatural help and interventions always.
I thank the organizers of the prayer summit and I encourage them never to relent in their prayers for the Governor of the State and his administration including the entire Imo State and nation.
May God bless us all. Amen.
